Former chairman of the Security Service of Ukraine Ihor Smeshko has said that the politicians will try to use the criminal case upon the murder of journalist Georgy Gongadze during the presidential election campaign, he told the Delo newspaper of August 8.
He said that it is early to speak about quick closure of the case.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, widow Myroslava Gongadze considers that the criminal case upon the murder of her former husband will influence on the results of the upcoming presidential elections.
She is concerned over the possibility that the case may be passed to court without uncovering of murder contractors.
