Ukrtatnafta, which operates the Kremenchuk oil refinery in Ukraine's Poltava region, plans to import 240,000 tonnes of crude oil from the Caspian region in October, an industry source told Interfax.
The oil will be delivered by tanker to Odesa Maritime Merchant Port,
in three 80,000 tonne lots. The first lot will be shipped on October
2-3, the second on October 6-7 and the third in mid-October.
The oil will be delivered to the refinery on the Dnepr trunk oil pipeline system.
Ukrtatnafta spokesman declined to comment on the information.
Earlier Naftogaz Ukrainy Deputy CEO Valentyn Franchuk said that
Ukrtatnafta had sent a request to Ukrtransnafta to transport light
tanker oil from Odesa to the Kremenchug refinery on the Dnepr
pipelines, prompting the latter to propose that Lukoil use a different
route to deliver crude to its Odesa refinery.
