The reconstruction of St. Andrew's Church in Kyiv will be completed by May 2010, Regional Development and Construction Minister Vasyl Kuybida has said.
“If we fulfill all of the planned work this year, and then next year
we will complete everything we planned, not only the hillside’s
fortification, but also the reconstruction work in the church itself. I
think that next year we will complete everything by May. The work is
going on ahead of schedule,” he told journalists while examining the
progress of hillside strengthening work near St. Andrew’s Church in
Kyiv on Tuesday.
According to the minister, there are currently no financial problems
with the church’s reconstruction, and UAH 4 million out of UAH 24
million planned for this year from the reserve fund has already been
spent.
