First Vice Prime Minister Oleksandr Turchynov claimed that state budget deficit in Ukraine in 2010 will be one of the lowest among the world's developed nations.

“The government is scrupulously fulfilling its commitments to the
International Monetary Fund,” he said at the press conference in Kyiv
on Thursday.

“Speaking about state budget deficit: Believe me, next year it will
be one of the lowest among all civilized countries,” he said.

Turchynov claims “in the near future you will be able to check my
claims, because many governments are passing their budgets to their
parliaments right now.”

He also expressed certainty that NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy in 2010 will operate more efficiently and stably.

The first vice prime minister also added that Ukraine is completely prepared for the autumn-winter heating season.
