German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier expects progress in negotiations in the Normandy format in Berlin as regards dates for holding local elections in Donbas.
“I hope the participants in the upcoming negotiations will be able to overcome disagreements and advance local elections,” Steinmeier told journalists before the meeting in Berlin on May 11.
Steinmeier said he also hoped for progress in the political process in Ukraine in general and the improvement of the security situation on the ground in Donbas.
