You're reading: Swiss National Bank issues $200 million loan to NBU

The Swiss National Bank has issued a loan of $200 million to the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU), according to the website of the Ukrainian central bank.

According to the NBU, the loan agreement, which entered into force on April 6, was signed in the framework of agreements between the presidents of both countries to increase humanitarian financial aid to Ukraine on the part of Switzerland.

The funds are provided in addition to funding from the International Monetary Fund. They will be used to replenish the international reserves of the NBU.
