The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMC) is against the merger of the State Administration of Automobile Transport and the State Inspectorate of Automobile Transport proposed by the Transport and Communications Ministry, according to a press release of the AMC.
“The integration of the functions of state management, regulation
and control, which could occur as a result of merger, would lead to
groundless and non-transparent decisions being made,” the press release
reads.
According to the document, such a merger would damage competitiveness in the automobile transport sector.
