The Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine (PGO) has questions for the former head of Dnipropetrovsk regional state administration businessman Ihor Kolomoisky regarding criminal offences, Prosecutor General of Ukraine Viktor Shokin has said.

In an interview with LB edition (Livy Berih), when asked whether the PGO has questions to put to Kolomoisky, Shokin said: “Yes, [there are questions] connected with criminal offences.

“He said that these questions relate to the Karpenko case.

Shokin added that Kolomoisky should reach out to the PGO to clarify the circumstances of the case.

As reported, a criminal investigation into the attempted murder of lawyer Serhiy Karpenko was opened in 2005. He received three knife wounds but survived. He subsequently left Ukraine fearing for his safety.
