Moscow believes that the efforts to bring Ukraine closer to the European Union may undermine its historical relations with the eastern neighbor and have a bad effect on the local population.
Russian
experts have cautioned Kyiv about its fascination with the EU, saying
Brussels only needed Ukraine as a buffer zone, an additional export
market and a source of cheap labour.
