Three checkpoints for crossing the Ukrainian-Russian border by local residents opened in Sumy region on Friday.

According to the press service of the State Border Service of
Ukraine, Volodymyrivka – Gordeyevka checkpoint opened in Sumy district,
Starykove – Kozino checkpoint in Hlukhiv district and
Popivka-Spodaryushino checkpoint in Velyka Pysarivka district.

The three checkpoints will be open for crossing by pedestrians or bicyclists from 0800 until 1800.

Thus, Sumy regional authorities fulfilled the requirements of the
Ukrainian-Russian intergovernmental agreement on crossing the two
states’ border by local residents signed in 2006.
