You're reading: Tihipko not to support another presidential candidate

Serhiy Tihipko, who has announced his plans to run for the Ukrainian presidency, says he doesn't plan to support any other presidential candidate.

He said this during talks with voters in Lutsk on Wednesday.

“I don’t intend to form a bloc with anybody, neither in the first,
nor in the second round,” said Tihipko, on being asked whether he was
considering the possibility of forming a bloc with former parliament
speaker Arseniy Yatseniuk.

“Now I have the task of organizing my own campaign. Then we’ll see what we’ll see,” he said.

Tihipko added that if Yatseniuk enters the second round of the
presidential elections, then “I’ll think about it.” At the same time,
Tihipko said: “My program is close to that of Arseniy [Yatseniuk], but
I don’t think we’ll form a bloc.”
