The head of the Investors Council in the Cabinet of Ministers and Vice President of the Ukrainian Credit-Bank Union Serhiy Tihipko says he plans to leave all his posts to participate in the presidential election.
“I believe Ukraine has no real political force and we have to form a new political party to promote democratic principles,” he said at a press conference on Tuesday speaking about his plans to run for president.
On the other hand, he did not say if it is would be a new political force or modernized form of an existing one.
He also said that he would resign from all his posts to participate in the campaign. According to Tihipko, this is necessary for him to concentrate on the political activities.
However, he did not name a head of his election staff and a prime minister candidate.
He said that he plans to use new instruments in his campaign: internet, call-centers and meetings with voters.
