Turkey has strongly rejected allegations by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov that US warships stayed in the Black Sea for a period longer than is allowed under the Montreux Convention, saying that Turkey has meticulously enforced the terms of the convention and that the allegations “do not reflect the truth.”
