The government of Ukraine is ready to participate in programs on improving the financial condition of Bank Nadra and Ukrprombank.
Ukrainian Premier Yulia Tymoshenko said this while opening a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
According to the premier, the text of a corresponding letter to the National Bank of Ukraine will be reviewed on Wednesday.
“We will state the position of the government in the letter and
indicate it is ready to participate in the process of saving the
banks,” Tymoshenko said.
Tymoshenko said that except the two large banks the government of
Ukraine is ready to participate in programs on improving the financial
state of another 13 “small banks”.
