The Ukrainian government plans by December 2009 to finish talks on attraction of a credit to finance the completion of the construction of bridges over the Dnipro River in Zaporizhia, according to Ukrainian Premier Yulia Tymoshenko.

“I think that over one month and a half we’ll finish talks with one
of the countries on the raising of a state-secured credit,” she told
the press on October 10 in Zaporizhia.

The premier said that the raising of long-term credit funds with
lowest interest rates is needed to complete the construction by the
Euro 2012 European football championship.

She said that with the present financing from the national budget, the construction could last for dozens of years.

The government does not plan to cancel direct financing of work from the national budget, she said.

A present to Zaporizhia to the Day of Zaporizhia was the allocation of UAH 50 million from the budget for this purpose.
