Ukrainian Premier Yulia Tymoshenko has said that political confrontation in Ukraine will end after presidential elections.
“After this complicated political time, when the presidential
campaign is over, when the country elects its president, I am sure that
we will have consolidation in the parliament, in society, no more
confrontation, and then we will need to have a very clear plan of
action for Ukraine,” Tymoshenko said at a panel discussion with leading
Ukrainian and foreign economic experts in Kyiv on Monday.
According to Tymoshenko, the current government, with the
participation of leading economists both in Ukraine and outside the
country, should develop corresponding strategies for the development of
Ukraine.
Tymoshenko said that Ukraine has similar strategies, but they are to be revised taking into account the world economic crisis.
“It should be a new, compact, dynamic and fully resourced program
that takes into consideration the lessons and consequences of the world
economic crisis,” Tymoshenko said.
