Lviv – Ukraine is planning to reduce the amount of Russian gas to be imported to Ukraine in 2010 to 25 billion cubic meters, Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has said.
“This year, we bought 33 billion cubic meters of Russian gas, and
next year we’ll import 25 billion cubic meters,” she said at an annual
meeting of the World Congress of Ukrainian in Lviv on Thursday.
Tymoshenko said that Ukraine was also planning to introduce energy saving and alternative types of fuel.
