Rovenky (Luhansk region), August 28 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukraine will pay for Russian gas supplied in August in full and on time, Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has said.

“The gas will be paid for and it will be paid for not through money emission,” she said at a press conference in Rovenky, Luhansk region, on Friday.

Tymoshenko also said that due to the economic crisis, Russia would not fine Ukraine for purchasing less gas than stipulated by the current contracts.

“There are no issues, we pay exactly for what we get, and, taking into account the crisis, nobody imposes sanctions on anyone, as the crisis creates a situation in which everybody simply helps each other,” Tymoshenko said.

As reported, Naftogaz Ukrainy CEO Oleh Dubyna said at a meeting with Gazprom chief Alexei Miller on Thursday that Naftogaz would pay on time for gas supplied by Gazprom in August.that due to the economic crisis, Russia would not fine Ukraine for purchasing less gas than stipulated by the current contracts.
