Ukrainian Premier Yulia Tymoshenko believes that Ukraine's economy is excessively monopolized.
“When we are closed up inside our clans, which have shared
everything, we can not take out the country of this. Believe me, we
need to work much over this to break up the monopoly in all spheres of
life in Ukraine. If you want to buy fuel – there is a monopoly there,
sugar – a monopoly, poultry –a monopoly, cement – a monopoly. How can
the state live in such a way? These are terrible things,” Tymoshenko
said at a meeting of the government on Wednesday.
Therefore, according to the premier, Ukraine needs investment as “a gulp of fresh air.”
