The request of convicted former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko for easier penitentiary regime is in the administration of the Kachanivska correctional colony No. 54 and will be considered in accordance with the existing law, the Ukrainian State Penitentiary Service said.
“Due to mass media reports regarding the consideration of convict Tymoshenko’s request asking to transfer her to the social rehabilitation block, the Ukrainian State Penitentiary Service reports that the request of convict Tymoshenko is in the administration of the Kachanivska correctional colony No. 54 and will be considered in accordance with the demands of the existing law at the supervisory committee meeting in January 2014,” the State Penitentiary Service posted a statement on its website on Friday evening.
