Kyiv, Dec. 1 (Interfax-Ukraine) - The Ukrainian cabinet is in talks with the Chinese Bank for the Reconstruction and Development on raising funds to build a part of the orbital road around Kyiv.
The head of the State Road Administration (Ukravtodor), Vadym Hurzhos, said at a meeting on the development of road infrastructure attended by Ukrainian Premier Yulia Tymoshenko that the cost of building the first part of the orbital road in 2008 prices would be at leastHr 25 billion.
“We’re in talks with international finance organizations. Recently a cabinet delegation was in China. We have an agreement, and we expect a delegation from China and Chinese Bank for the Reconstruction and Development with the most powerful company of China – China Road and Bridge Corporation – to visit us and sign all the required documents to build the part of the road,” he said.
He said that similar talks are being held with other construction companies, including ones from France.
