Ukraine's Foreign Ministry hopes to sign an agreement on visa-free travel with Israel in the first half of this year, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Petro Poroshenko said at a briefing in Kyiv on Feb. 15.

The minister said he had a telephone conversation with his Israeli counterpart Avigdor Lieberman on Feb. 15.

"We agreed that we would make every effort everything to complete this work in the first half of this year," Poroshenko said.

He also added that a group of Ukrainian experts is scheduled to leave for Jerusalem on February 22 to discuss the matter with the Israeli side.
