You're reading: Ukraine in 11 months cuts gas transit to Europe by 25 percent

Ukraine in January-November 2014 reduced natural gas transit to Europe by 25 percent compared to the same period of 2013, to 58 billion cubic meters, the press service of PJSC Ukrtransgaz has said.

According to its data, during the reporting period gas transportation to Ukraine’s consumers decreased by 14 percent compared to the 11 months of last year, to 32.7 billion cubic meters.

The technological use of gas for the functioning of Ukraine’s gas transportation system in January-November 2014 declined by 23 percent, to 1.7 billion cubic meters.

Ukrtransgaz, 100 percent owned by Naftogaz Ukrainy, operates the system of trunk gas pipelines and 12 underground gas storage facilities in the country.
