Ukraine’s Parliamentary Speaker Volodymyr Lytvyn has forecasted collapse in ratings of the presidential candidates.

“I should say that with the present course of events, with the current straightforward and inflexible position, which is being demonstrated by Ukrainian politicians, the ratings decline will be inevitable,” Lytvyn said at a press conference in Uman, Cherkasy region, on Saturday.

The speaker said he had been talking with many people in a number of regions lately. “What they are saying, the assessments they are making run contrary to the public opinion studies, which are being currently imposed on the Ukrainian society,” he said.
