The total direct and guaranteed state debt of Ukraine in August 2009 grew by 5.6%, or $1.85 billion, to $35.112 billion, the Finance Ministry has reported.
According to the ministry, totally since early 2009 the state debt in the currency equivalent has grown by 42.7%, or by $10.51 billion.
In the hryvnia equivalent the total state debt in August grew by 9.6%, or UAH 24.46 billion, to UAH 280.51 billion, since the start of 2009 it has grown by 48.1%, or UAH 91.1 billion.
