The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has labeled the reports about the resignation of Ukraine’s chief of defense Col Gen Serhiy Kyrychenko as hasty.
“All the rumors, reports and comments on the resignation of Chief of
the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ General Staff Serhiy Kyrychenko are hasty,”
the General Staff’s press service told Interfax-Ukraine.
They explained that Kyrychenko is currently undergoing scheduled medical examination in one of Ukraine’s military hospitals.
At the same time, a source at the Defense Ministry told
Interfax-Ukraine that Kyrychenko is likely to file in his resignation
after taking sick leave.
