You're reading: Ukrainian government proposed parliament to increase revenues in the state budget for 2010 by 19 percent, expenditures by 21.1 percent

The Ukrainian government has submitted to parliament a draft state budget for 2010 that foresees an increase of revenues by 19%, or by UAH 45.477 billion in comparison with the plan for the current year, to UAH 284.629 billion, the Verkhovna Rada's Web site has reported.

According to the draft state budget for 2010, the revenues of the general fund are projected at UAH 218.868 billion, while revenues of the special fund are projected at UAH 65.824 billion. These sums exceed the plan for the current year by 19% and by 19.2% correspondingly.

Expenditures of the state budget are projected at UAH 324.272 billion, which is 21.1% or UAH 56.595 billion more than projected for 2009. The expenditures of the general fund are to be increased by 23.2% – to UAH 238.52 billion, while the expenditures of the special fund are to be increased by 15.8% – to UAH 85.752 billion.

The government is to return credits amounting to UAH 4.551 billion (in 2009 – UAH 3.128 billion) and credit arrangements amounting to UAH 11.719 billion (UAH 5.844 billion) in 2010.

The government is to increase the state budget deficit in 2010 by 49.9% or by UAH 15.57 billion compared to the current year – to UAH 46.748 billion. The deficit of the general fund is to be increased 2.68 times – to UAH 24.814 billion, while the deficit of the special budget fund could be increased to UAH 21.934 billion, the same as in the current year.

The state budget of Ukraine includes a general fund, where taxes and duties are directed and from which regular expenditures are financed, and a special fund, which finances target programs.
