You're reading: Ukrainian Journal: Over UAH 8 billion to be spent on railway electrification projects

Ukraine is continuing work on the electrification of the Dolynska-Mykolaiv-Kolosivka railway section of 240 kilometers and the Volnovakha-Komysh-Zoria-Zaporizhia section of 253 kilometers, and over UAH 8 billion will be spent on the projects, Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Kozak said.

 “This will bring us a return on investment from the reduction of expenses on fuel amounting to UAH 700 million, and 95% of materials that will be used for the electrification of the sections will be made in Ukraine,” he said.
