All Ukrainian regions are technically ready for the heating season, Ukrainian Premier Yulia Tymoshenko said at a telephone conference on the preparations for the heating season in Kyiv on Monday.
“Almost all regions are 100% prepared for winter,” she said.
The premier said that in most regions the public is paying almost in
full for heat supplies, as the average level of payments in the country
is 98.7%, and in some regions, such as Kirovohrad, it is 117%.
Tymoshenko said that the only threat to the heating season is the
shortfall in payments by heat suppliers to Naftogaz Ukrainy for
consumed natural gas.
