You're reading: Ukrainian president to attend 64th session of UN General Assembly

Ukrainian President Viktor Yuschenko has ordered preparations for his working visit to the United States to attend the 64th session of the UN General Assembly.

The president signed a decree to that effect on Thursday, according to a statement posted on his official Web site.

Yuschenko approved a plan of measures to prepare for his visit to the United States and ordered the government to ensure the plan is implemented.

The 64th session of the UN General Assembly will take place in New York on September 15, 2009.
