KYIV (Interfax-Ukraine) - The Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada has formally announced that a coalition agreement has been signed between the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc (BYuT), Our Ukraine-People's Self-Defense (OUPSD) and Lytvyn's Bloc factions.
The announcement was made by Verkhovna Rada Chairman Volodymyr Lytvyn at a parliamentary session on Tuesday.
On December 9, 2008, the parliament announced the decision of the three factions to form a coalition, he recalled. The announcement was based on the decisions made by the OUPSD, BYuT and Lytvyn’s Bloc factions, he said.
On December 16, the factions’ authorized representatives signed an agreement setting up a coalition for national development, stability and order, Lytvyn also said.
