Crimean teacher Yuriy Ilchenko, accused by the Russian authorities of extremism for non-recognition of the illegal annexation of Crimea by Russia, has fled to Kyiv, Ukraine, according to the Ukrainian Information Policy Ministry.Ilchenko, who is a foreign language teacher and a blogger, was detained by the FSB Federal Security Service on July 2, 2015, and placed into a detention center in Simferopol, Crimea, for 11 months.
