MP from the BYT Serhiy Vlasenko on July 27 filed a suit from the Batkivschyna Party at Kyiv Circuit Administrative Court against resolution No. 812 by the National Energy Regulatory Commission (NERC) on a rise in the price of gas and tariffs for housing and utility service for the public.
"I think people have the right not to pay according to the increased rates. I call on citizens to also appeal to the court and not wait for the abuse from the authorities. Appeal to the court and defend your legal rights," said Vlasenko. "If the court works fairly and impartially it must cancel the NERC resolution under which the price for gas for the public is to be increased by 50%," Vlasenko said on July 26 in a press release.
Earlier, vice speaker and member of the Batkivschyna All-Ukrainian Association Mykola Tomenko said the party intended to appeal against the NERC resolution.
