Financial assistance to Ukraine from Western countries and organizations will be provided after the new Cabinet is formed, U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt has told reporters in Kyiv.

“That’s right. And it’s not just about the United States, but also the IMF and the European Union. It will depend on the new government and its clear desire for reforms. As for the United States, we need progress in critical moments, in particular a new prosecutor should be elected, who will enjoy the support and confidence of the parliament and the civil society,” the press service of the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine said citing Pyatt.

In this regard, the U.S. diplomat expressed hope that the process of formation of the new Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine would be completed as soon as possible.

“We hope this process will be completed as quickly as possible, and that the new Cabinet will include people who are known as reformers,” the official said, refusing to voice specific names.
