The Ukrainian police are continuing to search for ex-minister of economy Bohdan Danylyshyn, Interior Minister Anatoliy Mohyliov said at a press conference in Kyiv on Thursday

"He [Danylyshyn] is being searched for, along with the other criminal suspects put on the wanted list," Mohyliov said.

When asked whether they are searching for Danylyshyn through Interpol channels, Mohyliov noted that hundreds of people are wanted by Interpol and their position on the list does not matter.

As reported, the Prosecutor General’s Office is investigating a criminal case against former Economy Minister Bohdan Danylyshyn opened under part 2, Article 364 of the Criminal Code, on charges of causing damages to the state worth UAH 4.5 million during the coordination of procurement procedures with the state-run Boryspil International Airport.

Some media have reported that Danylyshyn is in hiding in Germany.

On August 11 the investigator of the General Prosecutor’s Office put Danylyshyn on the state, interstate and international wanted lists, press secretary of the General Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine Yuriy Boichenko told Interfax-Ukraine on Thursday. He added that the same day, Pechersky District Court satisfied a request of the investigator of the General Prosecutor’s Office to order the location and arrest of Danylyshyn for further pre-trial restraint.
