Former Yushchenko’s chief of staff Viktor Baloha’s decision to throw his and his party’s weight behind Viktor Yanukovych in the second round was no surprise, People’s Self-Defense’s Yury Hrymchak said. Baloha had cooperated with the Regions before when he supported their bids for a wide coalition and then for Tymoshenko’s dismissal, Hrymchak point out.
