Ukrainian football giants FC Shakhtar Donetsk have opened their new 50,000-seat Donbass Arena, a venue earmarked for a UEFA Euro 2012 semi-final. Donbass Arena is the first stadium in Eastern Europe designed and built to UEFA’s five-star standard. Costing an estimated $400 million, the venue was completed after just over three years of construction work.
