Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has dismissed Ukrainian Deputy Foreign Minister Yevhen Mykytenko, who had held this post since June 2010.

Mykytenko was dismissed under a relevant presidential decree of May 24 in line with part one of Article 40 of the Labor Code, reads a posting on the official Web site of the head of state.

As reported, Mykytenko was appointed deputy foreign minister under a cabinet resolution of June 9, 2010. Before that, he had served as Ukraine’s ambassador to Egypt and Sudan (part-time official).
