Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has said he believes that Finland's experience in carrying out economic reforms will be useful for Ukraine.

"Finland has long surprised the world with its approaches and innovations in addressing many economic issues, and Ukraine would like to get this experience and use it," he said at a meeting with Finnish Foreign Minister Alexander Stubb on Thursday.

Yanukovych expressed hope for a more detailed examination of the Finnish experience in issues of foreign policy.

"We will also reform the Foreign Ministry. The economization of the ministry’s activities is becoming particularly important. I believe that we will have the opportunity to consult with your colleagues and discuss this in more detail," he said.
