President Viktor Yanukovych on Oct. 18 will host Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez in Kyiv.
After a formal welcoming ceremony, the two presidents will conduct negotiations and hold a press conference, after which Chavez will visit Ukraine’s Antonov State Enterprise, which designs and produces airplanes.
Chavez, who visited Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko Oct. 16-17 in Minsk, is scheduled to leave Ukraine on Oct. 19 for Iran.
In advance of his visit to Ukraine, Venezuela has agreed to extradite two Ukrainian sailors, sentenced to nine years in prison for drug smuggling, director of consular department of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Andriy Olefirov said on Oct. 15.
