The Ukrainian parliament will be working on Friday if the law on raising social standards is passed, Regions Party leader Viktor Yanukovych has said.

“It (the Verkhovna Rada) will be working, if they vote,” he said
when asked by Interfax-Ukraine, whether the Party of Regions is going
to bloc the parliament during its special meeting scheduled for Friday.

Yanukovych reminded that the Party of Regions’ faction had publicly
announced that it would strive for passing this law. “We will be
striving for raising minimum wages and pensions,” he added.
