President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych has awarded President of the Council of State and of the Council of Ministers of Cuba Raul Castro with the Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise of first grade and First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba Fidel Castro with the Order of Merit of first grade.
The relevant decrees were published on the presidential Web site on Saturday.
The leaders of Cuba have received these awards for "their personal contribution to the development of the Ukrainian-Cuban cooperation."
