President Viktor Yanukovych will make an official visit to Japan Jan. 18-21, according to Presidential Administration, which said Ukrainian and Japanese leaders would discuss economic cooperation and cultural ties.
According to Presidential Administration chief Serhiy Lyovochkin, Yanukovychwill meet with Japanese Prime Minister Naoto Kan, Emperor Akihito and the speakers of both chambers of the Japanese parliament.
From Jan. 24-25, Yanukovych will travel to Istanbul, Turkey for meetings with government officials about trade and investment, the presidential website says.
