The Right Sector movement will not give in to provocations and destabilize the situation in Ukraine, but intends to seek the fulfillment of its demands in the legal field, the movement leader Dmytro Yarosh has said.

“We know what we were expected to do, something as bad as put the Verkhovna Rada on fire, storm administrative buildings and so on. But we do not fall for the bait, Putin’s bate to boot. We are against the destabilization of the situation and will continue to fight exclusively in the legal field and the referendum gives such an opportunity,” Yarosh said at a briefing after the party congress in Kyiv on July 21.

According to the Right Sector leader, the party will initiate a national referendum on a number of issues, in particular, on the legalization of volunteer battalions in Ukraine, on vote of no confidence in the current government, a complete blockade of the occupied territories, the official recognition by the national authorities of the war with Russia, rather than the holding of the anti-terrorist operations in the east and so on.
