Kyiv, August 29 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Leader of the Front for Change public initiative Arseniy Yatseniuk, who declared his presidential ambitions, believes that Ukraine needs efficient coal production and nuclear power plants.
He said this while visiting the Bilozirska coalmine at Dobropillia district, Donetsk region.
Yatseniuk said the budgetary subsidies should be transparently distributed regardless of the ownership of coal enterprises. “We should be working for the quality of coal and good management, otherwise we are only aggravating the existing problems by continuing to support the unprofitable industries,” he said.
That is why Ukraine needs efficient coal production and nuclear power plants, the politician concluded.
