The Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers has proposed to stop carrying out all types of checks on enterprises, except for those conducted by the State Fiscal Service.

“The government proposes to ban the execution of all types of
inspections, except for those held by the State Fiscal Service and those
that require a personal decision of the government,” Prime Minister
Arseniy Yatsenyuk said at a briefing in Kyiv.

“As regards the various regulatory bodies, apart from the State
Fiscal Service: we have about 80 different kinds of inspectorates,
controlling agencies and institutions, which basically collect money in
their pocket and have no positive impact on the development of the
Ukrainian economy,” the premier said.

Yatsenyuk also added that the changes to the national budget of 2014
proposed by the government foresee a reduction of costs for all
regulatory authorities and inspectorates by 70 percent.
