Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk is convinced that Ukrainian pilot and MP Nadia Savchenko, sentenced on March 22 by a Russian court to 22 years in prison, will be free.

“The spirit of Ukrainians cannot be broken. Nadia Savchenko is stronger than hundreds of Kremlin courts. She will be free!” Yatsenyuk wrote on his Twitter page on March 22 after the verdict in her case was passed.

The Donetsk city court on March 22 in Rostov region sentenced Savchenko to 22 years of imprisonment after finding her guilty of complicity in the murder of two Russian journalists. The term takes into account the time Savchenko has spent in custody since June 30, 2014.
