Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk said Ukraine has imposed a ban on the import of some goods from Russia and has imposed an import duty on Russian goods.

“The Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers is now adopting two decrees on counter-sanctions against the illegal actions taken by the Russian Federation. The first decree bans the import into the custom territory of Ukraine of goods originating from Russia, and the second decree is on the import duties on goods originating from Russia. Every action taken by Russia will be followed by a counter-action taken by Ukraine,” he said, opening a government meeting in Kyiv on Dec. 30.
