Kyiv, September 2 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Ukrainian President Viktor Yuschenko insists that the Verkhovna Rada should consider his draft amendments to the Constitution.

“I am calling on the MPs, I insist that they should
consider the president’s presentation concerning the reform of the
national constitution in the wording proposed by the president,”
Yuschenko said this in a comment on his Wednesday meeting with
Verkhovna Rada Chairman Volodymyr Lytvyn, the presidential press
service reported.

Yuschenko has asked lawmakers not to block the bill
in the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, so that at a nationwide
referendum Ukrainians could decide who is right.
