Ukrainian President Victor Yushchenko confirmed his intention to attend a gas summit provided that it is held in the European Union in a telephone conversation with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Ukrainian presidential press secretary Iryna Vannykova told a briefing in Kyiv on Thursday.
“The Ukrainian president once again confirmed his readiness to take part in this summit provided that it is held on the European territory,” Vannykova said.
